There's a New Development in the Meghan Markle Wimbledon Photo Ban Drama

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will attend Wimbledon together

Meghan returned to the Wimbledon grounds just days after she came under fire for allegedly asking spectators not to take photos of her as she watched Serena Williams play her second round match against Slovenian Kaja Juvan on July 4.

As Hasan Hasanov, who has been visiting the legendary tennis tournament for 15 years, took the picture before he was ordered by a royal bodyguard not to take snaps of the Duchess of Sussex.

If Williams, 37, triumphs, she will be the first mother to win Wimbledon since Evonne Goolagong in 1980, and will do so less than two years after giving birth to her daughter Olympia. While royal fans have already gotten a glimpse of both women at the event separately, it appears we'll finally get to see them in the stands together this weekend.

Meanwhile, Kate dazzled in a green designer dress as she showed up at Wimbledon.

She teamed the look with Asprey's Woodland Oak Leaf earrings, which are over a thousand pounds online.

Kate, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), and Meghan will be watching from the Royal Box for Serena Williams' clash with Simona Halep. It's assumed that she arrived solo to meet the players ahead of the game.

Meghan turned up without the Duchess of Cambridge in a white shirt and statement pleated midi-skirt. Social media users have described the pattern as a "surprise delight" on Twitter. However, her close friend, Serena Williams defended the Duchess, having nothing but good things to say about her. Last week, Meghan Markle had made a surprise trip to the courts, where 23-time grand slam victor Serena was playing against Kaja Juvan.

When asked about Markle's Wimbledon appearance during a post-match interview, Williams said she doesn't read any press about the royal.

The seven-time Wimbledon victor has won 23 grand slam titles.
