Neil Gaiman has ideal comeback for Christians wanting "Good Omens" canceled

Their petition was nearly making moves, except it was addressed to the wrong company-Netflix.

The group called Return to Order launched a petition to get Netflix to cancel the series but the only problem is that they addressed the wrong streaming service.

It appears the petition has been taken offline; only a signatures progress bar remains showing around 50-percent of the goal having been met before someone pulled it.

The series - which is based on the 1990 novel Good Omens: The Nice And Accurate Prophecies Of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - sees an angel (Michael Sheen) and a demon (David Tennant) joining forces to save the world.

The US Christian group called Return to Order has launched a petition for Amazon's "Good Omens" TV series to be canceled, but the petition is directed at Netflix.

Heat acquire 44th overall draft pick from Hawks
All of this will cost you a hefty $74.69 and will be a great companion piece to your NBA Draft viewing experience. Then it gets interesting, as the next five-to-seven selections could go in various orders.

According to The Guardian, the group took issue with not only how the show depicts God as female (played by actress Frances McDormand) but also how the antichrist - the harbinger of the end of days in the Biblical book of Revelation - was simply a "normal kid". Pratchett's last request to Gaiman before he died was that he adapt the novel they wrote together; Gaiman wrote the screenplay andworked as showrunner on the BBC/Amazon co-production, which the Radio Times called "a devilishly amusing love letter to the book".

Gaiman, who is also the author of American Gods and Caroline, poked fun at the petition on Twitter, writing: 'I love that they are going to write to Netflix to try and get #GoodOmens cancelled.

Gaiman clearly saw the amusing side, tweeting a link to a post about the gaffe and writing: "This is so lovely. Says it all really", reads a tweet from showrunner Gaiman, who included intimate scenes with a 500-foot-tall Satan, per Variety. Promise me you won't tell them?'

Good Omens is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Neil Gaiman restrained himself from posting more of his own tweets regarding the petition, but he wasn't done poking fun at it after just those two.
