In addition to her tributes on stage, she made sure to keep Miller's music in fans ears as she played a few of his songs over the speakers at PPG Paints Arena. Then the most poignant part of the evening came toward the end of the show, when Grande performed her No. 1 hit "thank u, next".

On Wednesday night it was the first time that Ariana had sang the song in Pittsburgh and the enormity of this personal moment wasn't lost on the singer.

Mac (born Malcom McCormick) died from an accidental overdose at his home in Studio City, California on September 7.

We all know what the lyrics, "Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm, cus he was an angel", symbolize.

Zion Williamson Reportedly Files Lawsuit Against Marketing Company
Williamson's suit asks the court to declare the agreement void and bar Prime Sports from acting on Williamson's behalf. Williamson had signed a marketing deal with Prime Sports back in April and terminated the agreement on May 31.

As she choked back tears, the crowd looked to lift Ariana and cheered encouragement to the singer, as her backing singers continued with the main vocal duties.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Ariana Grande had a tough night in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania, while commemorating the life and death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.

It was a hard night for Ariana as she was overcome with emotion during the opening number, Raindrops (An Angel Cried). The audience rallied behind the pop star, belting out the song in her place as she composed herself on stage with the help of her dancers. Despite the fact they had ended their romance at that time, Ariana always had a deep connection and she wanted him to enjoy his life.

Ariana Grande now happens to be one of the most popular American singers.
