Huawei willing to sign 'no-spy' agreements with governments

And in August 2018, president Trump signed an executive order banning USA government agencies from purchasing or using telecommunications equipment from certain Chinese technology companies, including ZTE and Huawei.

US President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order this week that would stop US companies from using technology deemed to be a "national security risk". In August, Trump signed a bill that barred the USA government itself from using equipment from Huawei and another Chinese provider, ZTE Corp. The order still could be delayed further, they say.

The ban will not name any specific companies, but will direct the U.S. Department of Commerce to draft enforcement rules for it.

This Executive Order declares a national emergency with respect to the threats against information and communications technology and services in the United States and delegates authority to the Secretary of Commerce to prohibit transactions posing an unacceptable risk to the national security of the United States or the security and safety of United States persons.

The executive order comes at a delicate time in relations between China and the United States as the world's two largest economies ratchet up tariffs in a battle over what United States officials call China's unfair trade practices.

Washington has told allies not to use Huawei's technology to build new 5G telecommunications networks because of worries it could be a vehicle for Chinese spying, an accusation the firm has denied.

Evra expects Pogba to leave Manchester United
Liam Rosenior has blamed Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for affecting his teammates in a negative way. His gesture was met booing from some of them.

The White House and Commerce Department declined to comment.

The UK, however, didn't impose a complete ban on Huawei but the country said that it has strict controls for how Huawei's equipment is deployed. Soon, the same might be true for US companies. Worse, the United States is also approaching other countries especially its allies to completely ban Huawei technologies.

The FCC voted unanimously to deny China Mobile Ltd's bid to provide USA telecommunications services last week and said it was reviewing similar prior approvals held by China Unicom and China Telecom Corp.

Estimates suggest around a fifth of rural carriers in the USA use either equipment made by Huawei or, another Chinese company, ZTE, although many of their larger telecoms companies have already cut ties.

The United Kingdom is now deciding how much Huawei equipment it will use for the deployment of its 5G networks.
