James Charles loses a million subscribers after YouTube row

Home > EntertainmentSource Instagram Tati Westbrook Is Done with James Charles and Dragged His Mother on the Way By Pippa Raga7 hours ago

Tati made a video saying that there had been tension in their friendship for some time because of inappropriate behaviour from James.

The feud is now playing out across social media in the wake of a 38 minute long YouTube video from Westbrook in which she takes aim at Charles for endorsing a vitamin company which is a rival to her her own brand, Halo Beauty.

In a 43-minute long video on Friday, Westbrook claimed that Charles had been spreading unflattering lies about her.

Unfortunately for Wellens, that was not the right time to tweet something like that, as he began receiving hundreds of negative comments from fans telling him to delete his post.

Tati has her own beauty supplement brand and went on Instagram stories to say that she felt betrayed by James working with Sugar Bear Hair. "I don't want to be associated with you".

In the past, Westbrook says she thought of Charles as a protege, and the two regularly collaborated on makeup tutorials.

Tati Westbrook also addressed a recent video made by Gabriel Zamora, where he seemingly claimed that Tati's relationship with James Charles was "transactional" and that she was using him to gain subscribers. "But I have always tried".

Speaking on Westbrook's claims that he had tried to manipulate someone's sexuality, he said: "I've learned the hard way about the ways I can interact with boys [and] this is a conversation I should have been far more careful bringing into the public eye".

The video now has over 23 million views since it was posted on 10 May.

James is no stranger to controversy, he was heavily criticised after he tweeted a joke about catching Ebola while visiting Africa in the midst of the epidemic that swept the continent in 2017.

The YouTuber wrote: "I can't believe we're going to Africa today OMG what if we get Ebola". He tweeted: "drama aside, i have something to say...", before including a link to the Halo Beauty website.

"I apologise and should've chosen my words wiser!"

James also recently found himself in hot water over the price of his tickets for a meet-and-greet with his fans (some were priced at £385), as well as by saying his invitation to the Met Gala 2019 was "a step forward in the right direction for influencer representation in the media and I am so excited to be a catalyst".

Shane Dawson has shown his support to Tati Westbrook following the whole James Charles scandal and it's too cute.

He would seem to be on an upward trajectory most can only dream, however that's all come crumbling down on social media and it's all down to a feud of epic proportions.
