Kodak Black arrested on drug, gun charge at Canadian border

The rapper was arrested at the U.S. Border in Canada on Wednesday after U.S. Customs Agents discovered weed on him as well as a Glock 9mm pistol.

Kodak Black has been arrested at the U.S Border on weapon and drug charges amid concert cancellation confusion.

Kodak Black was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.

During a search of the group's Cadillac Escalade, which Kodak was driving, police found marijuana on the rapper and a gun inside the vehicle.

The two passengers in the Escalade face a weapons charge. It was unclear where the men in the Escalade and a second vehicle were headed, but Black had been scheduled to perform that night in Boston, about 640 kilometers (400 miles) east.

CNN has reached out to Black's representative for comment. The Dying To Live rapper is still in custody and is being held on bond ranging between $20,000-$40,000, as per reports.

Video footage from local media outlets showed Black leaving the jail holding a fan-like spread of cash over his face. They return to Lewiston Town Court in May. He is known for his hit singles "Zeze", "Roll in Peace", "Tunnel Vision", and "No Flockin".

In Boston, police responded to what they described as "generally unruly behavior" Wednesday night after Black's scheduled shows at a city club were canceled.

A License Premises Violation was also issued to House of Blues for the alleged sexual assault and the altercation involving the patron and staff members.
