Every free NES game added to Nintendo Switch Online in April 2019

NES – Nintendo Switch Online adds Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, and Star Soldier on April 10

In the meantime, there are a few gems being added on April 10th, including Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.

Regardless of how bad the update actually is, players will still need to download the latest software to be able to play online or through local wireless play with their friends.

The Nintendo Switch Online subscriber-exclusive app allows users to play classic Nintendo Entertainment System games. This sequel to Super Mario Bros. was much more hard than the original - so much so, in fact, that Nintendo of America made a decision to take a different route with its Super Mario Bros. It's also the first game that gave Luigi a higher jump and less ground friction, differentiating him from Mario.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels originally hit Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2 on your Switch. Mac works his way up a ladder of increasingly tough enemies culminating in a battle with the titleholder Mr. Dream. The original North American release was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! but once Nintendo's license to use Tyson expired, he was replaced with Mr. Dream as the final boss.
