You can say "molested", but those children, as you heard say (the grown-up Robson and Safechuck), they were thrilled to be there.

In the bombshell documentary James Safechuck and Wade Robson accuse the singer of grooming and molesting them when they were children.

Streisand shared her thoughts with The Times in the United Kingdom ahead of her July concert at London's Hyde Park.

In the two-part HBO documentary, Robson and Safechuck give disturbing accounts of years of sexual abuse they allegedly suffered at the hands of Jackson as children. "I feel bad for him".

Although she added that she "absolutely" believes the two men, she appeared to take a swipe at their parents, claiming that it was their "fault" for allowing them to sleep in a bed with the "very sweet" and "very childlike" Jackson.

When pressed if she's angry with Jackson for his alleged behavior, Streisand says she has "a combination of feelings". "Why would Michael need these little children dressed like him and in the shows and the dancing and the hats?"

Dan Reed, who directed the "Leaving Neverland" documentary, even questioned: "I$3 s pedophilia tolerated in parts of the entertainment industry?" "I listened very carefully to days and days and days of interview, then we went and did about 18 months of research and checked everything we could and tried to poke holes in Wade and James' accounts", he said.

The outlet described Streisand's attitude to Jackson, who once asked her to sing a duet with him, as "surprisingly sympathetic".

Her comments have been widely panned on social media sites, with users disappointed by the singer's comments.

"To prosecute men you have the courage to say they were raped as children by this powerful godlike individual, to make them into the scapegoats is beyond absurd and quite vile", the director told AFP.

The megastar also addressed the MeToo movement in her interview, calling it "very powerful" but suggesting that "unfortunately, it's going to cause a lot of women not being hired because men are anxious that they'll be attacked", which the Times interviewer took to mean men would be afraid of false accusations.
