Video Footage Of Conor McGregor Phone Stomping Incident Emerges

Former UFC champ Conor Mc Gregor was charged with strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief after an altercation with a fan

According to the Associated Press on Thursday, Miami-Dade County court records show that McGregor is being sued by Ahmed Abdirzak, the alleged victim in the incident.

Police say McGregor slapped the phone out of Abdirzk's hand and then stomped on it several times.

Prior to his release, McGregor's team issued a statement on his behalf, saying: "Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement".

Chiesa then sued McGregor in court seeking damages for his injuries as well as missed opportunities suffered after he was unable to compete that weekend and a late notice title shot he believed would have gone to him on that same card had he not been unable to fight.

Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami after taking a fan's phone and smashing it outside of the Fontainebleau Hotel around 5 am on Monday (March 11).

Measles Misinformation Draws The Attention Of Canada's Chief Public Health Officer
Measles is highly contagious and is spread in the air through coughing or sneezing by someone who is unwell with the disease. Clark County Public Health says they confirmed a new case yesterday, bringing the county's total to 71 confirmed cases.

The video, which was obtained and posted by TMZ, can be seen here.

Miami Beach police arrested the 30-year-old fighter on Monday afternoon and charged him with robbery and criminal mischief. "All his security guards literally surrounded me, pushing me out of the way".

McGregor's attorney dismissed the civil suit, describing it to AP as "a quick effort seeking a payday".

The former dual weight UFC champion was eventually released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $12,500 bail, escorted to a black SUV before being driven back to his Miami Beach Mansion.

If convicted of the charges he faces, McGregor could face up to 15 years in prison, as "strong-armed robbery" is a second degree felony carrying a hefty maximum sentence.
