Huawei clarifies why it used online stock images to promote new smartphone

Huawei brings new line of wearables for Indian market

When we refer to the Huawei Mate 30 we're also referring to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, which should appear at the same time. And the Chinese company has done it again.

A year after hitting headlines with its P20 Pro - the first triple-camera smartphone on the market - Huawei will return to the French capital to unveil its successor, the P30 Pro, and its P30 counterpart. The flagship smartphone scored 286,152 points and this shows us that Huawei P30 Pro has more than enough hardware power to take care of any heavy-duty tasks. Doesn't seem right, right?

To make matters worse, as spotted by an eagled-eyed GSMArena reader, some of the images weren't even Huawei's own - they came from a professional photographer's portfolio. Maybe the company is deliberately trying to mislead users with its questionable marketing.

Huawei's upcoming flagship, the Huawei P30 Pro is poised to push the boundaries of smartphone imaging to a whole new level. CEO Richard Yu unveiled to fans a sneak peek at what to expect about the quality of the camera.

The Huawei P30 Pro will have a periscope zoom camera – 5x is what were hearing, going up to 10x when coupled with digital zoom.

During the concept of Blue, a British boyband, there was someone who was using the Huawei P30 to take pictures of the band members from afar.

Huawei Caught Using Stock Images To Promote Upcoming P30 Smartphone Series

The ELE-L29 and VOG-L29 variants of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones have been certified by Taiwan's NCC and Indonesia's TKDN certification agencies. The company added a disclaimer only after being caught. Though they made not be the same, the scenery, child and ducks in the picture are clearly identical.

And just like in the 2016 controversy, Huawei released a statement to media outlets stating that it was a "misunderstanding" and not an attempt to deceive.

The firm has mentioned to the Android Authority that the images used were only posters used to highlight the feature.
