A Milwaukee bus driver rescued a wandering baby walking alone on a freeway overpass Milwaukee County Transit System Spokesman Matt Sliker tells CNN

Milwaukee County Transit System driver Irena Ivic saw the barefoot toddler wandering dangerously close to the road all by herself and stopped her bus to rush to the child.

As for Ivic, who moved from Serbia to Milwaukee 12 years ago, she said she was just doing what was right. Video shows her running across a busy street to scoop up the child.

The video later shows Ivic stopping her bus, running across the street, picking up the crying child and carrying her to the bus.

"Oh my God. Oh my God".

Ivic, who will be honored Thursday by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, spotted a boy alone on a freeway overpass.

Another passenger brought her jacket up to the front of the bus to help the boy warm up.
