The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired guard George Hill from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team trade that also involves the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Smith and Washington's future second-rounder will go to Milwaukee as the Wizards receive Sam Dekker in the deal. It could save almost $19 million if they don't keep Hill, too, as Hill only has $1 million of his $19 million deal guaranteed.
Hill has averaged 10.8 points and 2.8 assists so far this season in Cleveland, and is shooting better than 51 percent from the field and an impressive 46.4 percent from the 3-point line. The acquisition of Dellavedova is icing on the cake, considering he was a major fan favorite who helped lead the franchise to their lone National Basketball Association title in 2016.
Hill was highly expected to be traded from the Cavs after it was clear that the team was heading towards the direction of a rebuild.
There was an urgency to get the deal agreed to before 6 p.m. on Friday because only players on rosters by then can be re-packaged in other trades before February's deadline.

Dellavedova, 28, was a Cleveland fan favorite during his first stint with the team from 2013-16. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, continue to stockpile draft picks.
In 12 appearances this season, Dellavedova is averaging 1.7 points, 0.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He's now averaging 10.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game this season.
Henson recently underwent surgery to fix a torn ligament in his left wrist.
According to Wojnarowski, Milwaukee will save $18 million in salary in the 2019-20 season with the trade.
