Dauntless to Become Truly Cross-Platform with Console & Mobile Releases in 2019

Dauntless

Developer Phoenix Labs announced that the game will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles starting April 2019. The visual style, as you can see from the trailer above, feels a lot like Fortnite's cartoon-like look, which should do the game no harm in the eyes of the millions of people who already play and enjoy Epic's world-beating online title.

Not only will the game be available for nearly all platforms, but progression will be retained regardless of which platform you move to. Ambitious! It will launch as a "free download" on the aforementioned devices and is supported by microtransactions (after removing loot boxes).

Phoenix Labs also announced Frostfall, a new expansion that will be available on December 6. On any platform that you might log into via your Dauntless account, all progression and items will carry over. As part of Phoenix Labs" "One Dauntless' initiative, cross-platform play will be enabled. "The journey of Dauntless is just beginning in the ever-evolving online world of the Shattered Isles, and we're excited to share many more years of experiences with our players".
