Facebook's reputation as an employer is really suffering

"The Ken Coleman Show" host Ken Coleman on a new survey on Americans' dream jobs.

"In today's tight labour market, job seekers are in the driver's seat when it comes to deciding where to work and they want to know the inner workings of a company before accepting a new job", said Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor Chief Economist.

Luckily, one of the world's largest job and recruiting sites Glassdoor has just released its benchmark list of the best places to work in Britain.

Of the top 100 large companies, 29 were tech companies.

While Facebook was the best place to work in America past year, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple had tumbled to number 84 in 2017 from its 36th position in 2016.

Workers cited "outstanding compensation" and the work environment as benefits.

Tech companies accounted for 14 of the top 50 spots this year, down from 22 tech brands last year.

The Glassdoor list came at a time when media reports said several Facebook employees are looking for better opportunities as scrutiny of the company's conduct rises following several cases of data leak and as its stock price take a beating.

Pay is also a plus at In-N-Out.

Kardashian West has dressed as Cher for Halloween and in May traveled to Las Vegas to see the 72-year-old singer perform. The subject of the musical , known for her own plentiful tweets, has yet to weigh in on West's faux pas.

Facebook's employees have also spoken out about workplace issues.

The company offers a cloud-based "centralized hub" for help managing projects and teams.

"Work-life balance is awful", one employee wrote in a review. Boston Consulting Group 6. It rose a number of spots from last year's ranking of 21.

It is possible that Facebook slipped in the list this year because of all the controversies that have surrounded it.

Facebook has suffered a recent string of high-profile missteps, pertaining to data privacy and potential biases. Google was 8th while Salesforce came 11th.

Bain & Company, Google and Apple are the only three companies to have made the list every year. Workers' concerns - and protests - over how the military could use Google's technology contributed to executives' decision to pull a bid for a $10 billion cloud contract with the Pentagon. The search giant's ranking is also down from fifth place in 2018.

According to a CNBC report earlier this week, Facebook employees are contacting former colleagues to look for jobs outside the company.

The last time Twitter was among the top 100 U.S. large companies was 2016 when it was ranked 26th. To put into context, more than 830,000 employers are reviewed on Glassdoor and the average company rating is 3.4 out of 5.

The New Year is usually the mark of a new start for most people.
