Tijuana protesters chant 'Out!' at migrants camped in city

'Out! Out!' Anti-Caravan Protests Erupt on US-Mexico Border (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

The Mexican government last week reiterated job offers to the migrants, saying that those who obtained legal status could occupy thousands of vacancies, majority in the country's "maquiladoras", doing factory work.

Besides the caravan currently in Tijuana, there were at least two other groups of Central American migrants - mainly Hondurans and Salvadorans - who were now heading northwards through Mexico toward the U.S. border.

"If we had work, we would stay". The city's privately run shelters have a maximum capacity of 700.

"I cry a lot to not be able to feed them as I'd like", Orellana said of her children.

But on Saturday, some said that thinking had changed.

Dulce Alvarado, 28, from Lempira, Honduras, said she was stepping out of a corner grocery near the complex carrying her 2-year-old son when she was surrounded by the demonstrators chanting "Get out!" and "We don't want you here!"

In anticipation of several caravans with thousands of migrants, mostly from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, reaching the United States, the Trump administration ordered some 5,800 troops deployed to the border with Mexico to prevent what the president has consistently branded as an "invasion". They come from countries with a lot of poverty. The cold reception contrasts sharply with the warmth that accompanied the migrants in southern Mexico, where residents of small towns greeted them with hot food, campsites and even live music.

As a result, she booked the two to face one another in a match at the TLC pay-per-view on December 16. He's now scheduled for a match against Baron Corbin at TLC on December 16.

Trump earlier this month deployed nearly 6,000 troops along the long US border with Mexico.

But that welcome became noticeably frostier as the caravan reached the border.

Trump warned he will carry out the threat if Mexico does not halt the caravan of Central America migrants heading north, thus raising the risk of huge disruptions to trade.

Some Tijuana residents supported the migrants, but others accused them of being messy, ungrateful and a danger to the city.

"We are not against migration", Ulises Araiza, President of the Association of Human Resources of Industry in Tijuana, told Reuters.

Tijuana also has been struggling with drug violence and some say they do not want the caravan bringing more problems.
