National Football League wide receiver Dez Bryant has sat out most of the year after being released by the Dallas Cowboys last spring.

Bryant has indicated on social media that the injury will be challenging to overcome, writing on his verified Twitter account, "Things was just starting to heat up for me".

Dez Bryant was helped off the field at #Saints practice today after suffering what the team fears may be a torn Achilles, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
