'South Park Susan' turns self in to police

Westwood was fired from her job following the incident

A white woman caught on video harassing two black women turned herself in to police on Saturday, NBC News affiliate WCNC reports.

Susan Westwood surrendered to authorities at the Sunset Beach Police Department on the North Carolina coast on Saturday, the Charlotte Observer reported.

Law enforcement officials had issued a warrant for Westwood - dubbed "South Park Susan" - and released the two calls she made to 911 on October 19.

Westwood was caught on video on October 19 berating sisters Leisa Meria Garris, 52, and Mary Michelle Garris, 49, while they were waiting for AAA to arrive in the parking lot for the Camden Fairview Apartments in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police previously told Yahoo Lifestyle that four criminal summonses for "simple assault" and "communicating threats" were issued for the suspect in the video. "Being white?" The woman was also heard asking if she needed to bring her concealed weapons, and mentioning that she made "$125,000 a year". Westwood told police, according to the station. Because Westwood was gone by the time the police arrived, a warrant was issued for her arrest on October 30, according to WCNC. "Nobody breaks their vehicle down in the best part of society", said Westwood. But, Westwood continues to berate them, repeatedly asking, "Do you live here?" They're begging for money, and we need to get them out of here... She added that "there's no auto broken down, there's somebody trying to cause problems".

One woman in the background of the recording remarked that Westwood smelled of alcohol. Westwood was sacked from her job after the video became public.

One of the sisters lived at the complex where the incident took place.
