Several Injured In Shooting At Bar In Southern California Says Police

Witnesses told The LA Times someone ran into the bar about 11.30pm, USA time, and started firing what appeared to be a black pistol.

Police reported that a California Highway Patrol officer had engaged a suspect.

A gunman has opened fire at a country music bar in the city of Thousand Oaks, California, injuring multiple people.

Ventura County Fire Department said there was an "ongoing active shooter incident" reported at Borderline bar and grill.

At least 30 shots were fired at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, which is about 40 miles west of Los Angeles.

He could not immediately provide information on the extent of the victims' injuries.

The Times reports that there were multiple reports of shots fired and people hit.
