Le’Veon Bell may not report by deadline after learning new information

Source ‘New’ info has Le’Veon Bell now contemplating whether he will sign tag

Le'Veon Bell has less than a week to report to the Pittsburgh Steelers in order to play this season, but it appears he's still debating signing the franchise tag.

"If he doesn't want to play for $14.5 million, why would he want to play for $5 million?" the source told ESPN, referring to the prorated balance remaining on Bell's $14.5 million franchise tender.

Bell said the Steelers told him they plan to place the transition tag on him this offseason, and a source confirmed to ESPN that the tag would be worth approximately $9 million to $10 million.

With James Connor has proven his National Football League mettle in Bell's absence, the Steelers are unlikely to offer Bell a one-year $25 million franchise contract next season, meaning he'll be able to test his market value as an unrestricted free agent. He would have earned $14.5 million this season had he signed the Steelers' franchise tender, but made a decision to hold out in an effort to secure a more lucrative long-term contract with Pittsburgh or a trade to team willing to offer him one.

How Meghan Markle's Family Drama Helped Her Win Over the Royals
Instead, they have stayed at nearby Amner Hall rather than Sandringham, where the Queen resides during her trips to the country. The royal family reportedly exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve, though extravagant presents aren't in the cards here.

Bell has been working out in Miami this season, but on Monday he tweeted "Fairwell Miami" without further explanation. Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com reports that neither the Steelers nor the NFL is planning on making the franchise tender from this season carry over to next season, but Bell could miss out on benefits in relation to his pension and healthcare reimbursement that are connected to how many credited seasons a player has.

Just about everybody has an opinion on my life & anxious about what I'm doing.

That will definitely make Steelers fans feel for their star running back who hasn't played a game this year.

On Wednesday night, Bell posted two messages on his Twitter account in upside-down text, saying in part that he's "not apologizing" for his holdout. & that's clearly on them.
