Facebook Messenger's new Unsend messages option gets confirmed

Whether it's reaching out to an ex in a moment of weakness or making a poor emoji choice, many of us have hit "send" on a message only to regret it seconds later.

The option to unsend messages on Facebook Messenger is coming soon, the social network giant recently confirmed.

Compared to Facebook other messaging application, you'll actually have significantly less time to delete a sent message in Facebook's flagship Messenger app. WhatsApp users are now afforded just over one hour to remove a message from both users' inbox.

You may soon do that as Facebook is set to introduce a feature that would allow users to delete messages that have already been sent in its Messenger app. WhatsApp gives users a full hour to take back a text, and Instagram gives its users an unlimited window to delete direct messages. Maybe you sent a picture to someone you didn't want to.

Early risers less likely to develop breast cancer, new study reveals
And this is involved in breast cancer? But if you are a morning person, feel free to give yourself yet another pat on the back. The findings, which were not peer-reviewed, were presented at the NCRI Cancer Conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

However, it should be noted that Facebook's unsend feature for both Messenger and WhatsApp work differently from Gmail's.

Having the option to remove a message from a chat thread after it's been sent is great, but a 10-minute window seems a bit short.

So far, Facebook has not mentioned when the new "unsend" feature would be available.
