A young bride and groom from Texas were killed when their helicopter suddenly crashed moments after departing the reception, according to reports.

A newlywed couple died just hours after tying the knot on Saturday night when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in Texas. The couple was killed as well as the pilot, Fox News reports.

"We celebrated their fairy tale wedding and they were surrounded by their family and friends as they flew off in the family helicopter", Eric Smith, a family friend, posted on Facebook.

The crash took place in Uvalde, Texas, and the Uvalde Police received a call from an aviation monitoring center at approximately midnight Saturday of a possible downed aircraft.
