Friends of the Library has 51st Annual Old Book Sale

Book13-1

It only happens twice a year, but it takes months of planning to get the Friends of the Community Library Networks book sale together.

The Friends of the McHenry Public Library District is getting ready for the annual used book sale Saturday and Sunday in the library's warehouse. Funds from memberships, book sales, special events, and donations go toward much needed programming, equipment, and services at the Library.

Prices range from 25 cents for children's books and mass market paperbacks, to $1 for trade and large paperbacks, and $1.50 for hardcover books.

A $5 bag will buy as many general sale items - books, movies, DVDs, CDs - as the bag will hold, and shoppers may buy as many bags as they wish. There will also be a selection of audio books.
