'Joker' extras got locked in subway, had to pee on the tracks

Check out new footage from upcoming Joker movie

Variety and TMZ have reported that extras on the movie were locked in subway cars for over three hours.

The extras were filming a scene in an unnamed subway station and denied their break after two hours of work, sources told the outlet.

"The extras started banging on the subway doors asking to be let out because people needed to use the bathroom, but they were kept inside and eventually resorted to pissing on the tracks through the small spaces between cars".

Graphic: Rising US bond yields bring back Wall Street's sinking feeling
But eventually the high rates worry stock investors, as higher rates tend to increase borrowing costs and cut into profit margins. The CAC 40 in France dropped 2.1 per cent, Germany's DAX lost 2.2 per cent and the FTSE 100 in London fell 1.3 per cent.

After receiving a complaint about the break violation, the Screen Actors Guild sent a representative to resolve the situation and SAG will continue to follow-up and monitor the Joker set. The film follows the transformation of a struggling stand-up comedian to a full-blown criminal force of nature.

Filming on Joaquin Phoenix and Todd Phillips' Joker has gotten off to an unpleasant start, to say the least. With Phoenix in the lead, the ensemble cast 0f Joker includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham.

"We still don't know much about the story of this standalone film directed by The Hangover's Todd Phillips, other than that it takes place in the '90s and Phoenix's version of the character isn't an unknown (like he typically is in most interpretations, minus perhaps the 1989 Tim Burton film), but instead is a comedian/clown named Arthur who has One Bad Day that pushes him over the edge". The studio is planning to release "Joker" on October 4, 2019.
