Huras al-Din armed group rejects demilitarisation deal for Syria's Idlib

While the Huras al-Din faction is not the main terrorist group in Idlib, according to Reuters, its statement points to objections from other, bigger terrorist groups like Tahrir al-Sham, which did not declare its stance on the deal yet.

The most powerful jihadist group in the northwest, Tahrir al-Sham, has yet to declare its stance on the deal, under which insurgents must vacate the demilitarised zone by October 15.

"Just yesterday or the day before, the militaries of Russia and Turkey agreed the concrete frontiers of the demilitarised zone", Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Bosnian counterpart Igor Crnadak.

"We advise our mujahideen brothers in this decisive and risky phase". The Huras al-Din group was formed earlier this year by combatants who split from Tahrir al-Sham. The Al Qaeda-linked HTS has not yet said whether it has accepted the deal. It includes foreign militants.

The jihadist-led group - which controls more than half of the Idlib region - has not officially responded to the agreement.

Trump UNGA speech claim prompts laughter from leaders
Some Iranian insiders have said any talks between Mr Rouhani and Mr Trump would effectively kill the existing nuclear accord. In his address past year to the UN, Trump insulted Kim as a "rocket man" bent on nuclear destruction.

The two countries' defense ministers signed a memorandum on stabilizing the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

Putin has said that all opposition heavy weapons, mortars, tanks, rocket systems are to be removed from the demilitarised zone by 10 October.

Two insurgent groups rejected a deal reached this month between Russian Federation and Turkey to establish a demilitarized zone in Syria's Idlib region with one saying Sunday that the agreement aims to "bury the revolution". It will be patrolled by Turkish and Russian forces. "We will also be aware and cautious for any treachery by the Russians, the regime and the Iranians", the statement said.

"We will not abandon our weapons, our land or our revolution" against the Russia- and Iran-backed forces of President Bashar al-Assad, the rebels said. However, the light weapons will still be held by a few of the forces of the moderate opposition.

Last month, the regime announced plans to launch a major military offensive in Idlib, which is controlled by various armed opposition groups.
