Rare two-headed Copperhead found in Virginia

The snake, found in Richmond, Virginia, in the United States, was taken to the Wildlife Center of Virginia so experts could radiograph the beast and see how it could function with two heads.

The baby Eastern Copperhead snake was found in a yard in a northern Virginia neighbourhood and pictures and a video of it twisting and wriggling were posted to Facebook by a wildlife expert.

Two-headed snakes such as this one are extremely rare, the release continued, because "they just don't live that long".

Rather than screaming and running a mile, like many of us would have done, quick-thinking Stephanie managed to safely capture the snake and then took some snaps of it, which she posted to Virginia Wildlife Management and Control's Facebook page, asking: "What are the odds to find a two-headed snake?" The unnamed person, who found the reptile, contacted the Virginia Herpetological Society to identify the species, according to a CNN report. "Too many challenges living day to day with two heads", he added.

Daesh produces evidence it carried out attack in Iran
But the move turned out to be a false flag, with Mr Rouhani later pinning the blame on neighbours much closer to home. State-run PressTV said the action was taken over comments by an unnamed UAE official, without giving details.

"It appears as though the left head is more dominant - it's generally more active and responsive to stimulus", a spokesperson for the veterinary hospital said.

"It's now being cared for by a private reptile keeper with lots of experience in breeding and rearing vipers". It's not available for public viewing.

X-rays revealed the two-headed snake has two tracheas, which has better developed in the left head, and two oesophagus's, which is better developed in the right head. Professionals are caring for it, and if the snake survives, it will be donated to a zoo for an educational exhibit.
