Expect a blustery start to Saturday

For Saturday, expect mixed skies clearing near noon, northwesterly winds at 20 km/h becoming light, a high of 15 C and low of 6 C. The strongest gusts are expected from late morning into the afternoon.

While it will feel like 40, a special weather statement is in effect for Mississauga and Brampton today, September 21, warning of winds that could hit 80 kilometres per hour.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Region of Waterloo and Wellington County for Friday.

In addition to the special weather statement already in effect for Toronto today, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city as well. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Winds will then diminish overnight.
