Woman stabbed to death on evening jog one week after engagement

Wendy Martinez, a 35-year-old tech executive was on her evening jog on September 18 around the streets near her Washington D.C. home when a total stranger pulled out a knife and stabbed her.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Wendy Martinez had a Master's degree in Latin American studies and conflict resolution from Georgetown University.

Police don't believe Martinez knew her attacker.

Family say she was excited to be planning her wedding to the DC bank executive.

Surveillance video shows Martinez jogging, and while being apparently cautious, she glances back at a man she passed on the street.

Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
