Kante, 27, was an important member of France's World Cup-winning squad in Russian Federation, but despite heavy links with a return to his home country after former coach Antonio Conte was replaced by Maurizio Sarri, the former Leicester City man is happy to still be in London this season.

The Blues youngster was courted by a number of clubs throughout the summer but opted to seal a season-long loan move to Aston Villa in the closing stages of the window for EFL clubs.

"The last time I spoke with him he told me that he wants to play for another season, but I don't know the situation now", Sarri told a media conference.

"If there is a pitch and there are 11 players, I feel at home anywhere", Sarri said.

"For sure he will be a point of reference for me, for everybody here".

'In a few days, one week, he will be ready to play.

John Terry is Chelsea's most successful captain, leading the Blues to 14 major trophies. At the moment Fabregas is able to be on the bench.

Some of the song's lyrics - but not those in the clip - contain sexual references. It was overlaid with a snippet from rapper Fatman Scoop's hit Be Faithful .

However, the former Napoli manager Sarri is not entertaining the thought of Terry's return in a playing capacity.

'I think Man City will win the Premier League this season, with Liverpool just behind.

Already, Sarri has helped the West London side make a decent start to the new season with four wins out of four game, but will be looking forward to a record with another three points against Cardiff at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. So I know that the matches after the break are very, very hard. Only because after the first season the players understood the difficulty of this kind of match.

Asked whether his side can challenge for the title, Sarri said champions Manchester City and Liverpool were favourites and that Chelsea needed to improve defensively. "For the moment, I'm really very happy to stay here".

"We need another step, I think, to be the same level".

'We've earned the right to play against teams like Chelsea. But I don't know - he told me another thing, that he wants to play.
