The boy, who can not be identified because of his age, appeared at the Children's Court to plead guilty to the hacking.

A teenage hacker in Australia managed to infiltrate Apple's computer systems and, over the course of a year, swiped 90 gigabytes of data.

The Melbourne teen, who can not be named for legal reasons, broke into Apple's mainframe from his suburban home on multiple occasions over a year because he was such a fan of the company, according to his lawyer.

The court heard that he had broken into the company's mainframe a number of times a year ago and downloaded around 90 gigabytes of files before the hack was traced and he was blocked. In the process, he stole approximately 90GB of data and was even able to access customer records.

Apple detected his presence and reported the teenager to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who in turn passed the case to Australian police.

Drug dealer arrested as dozens overdose in CT park
Kathryn Hawk, an emergency medicine physician and professor at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where numerous victims were treated. Officials said the patients were "all different ages" and that anti-overdose drugs given to some victims did not work.

The teen went undetected for a long period of time until Apple finally noticed an intrusion and blocked his IP address.

The boy also shared details of his hacking with members of a WhatsApp group. According to his lawyer, the teen is a well-known figure in the hacking community.

The serial numbers of the devices matched those of the devices which accessed Apple's internal systems. At Thursday's hearing, a prosecutor said Apple was "very sensitive about publicity", according to The Age. The Age also reports that the unnamed teen from Melbourne told police he loved Apple and dreamed of working there.

"The objective was to connect remotely to the company's internal systems".

He'll likely have to wait a bit to see if that ever comes to pass: following his plea of 'guilty, ' his sentencing has been stood down until next month, and the charges could keep him on ice for a good while.
