Trump expects to ‘quickly’ revoke Bruce Ohr’s security clearance

Among them are former CIA Director William Webster, who was appointed to that post by President Ronald Reagan; Gen. David Petraeus, another former CIA director whom Trump had considered for a position in his own cabinet; and Gen. Michael Hayden, a former director of the CIA and NSA.

Experts have described Trump's move as an unprecedented effort to silence prominent detractors, with some likening it to Sen.

Unlike most of the names on Mr. Trump's target list for revoking security clearances, Mr. Ohr is still in government. Many people don't even know who he is, and now he has a bigger voice.

He also said that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was conflicted but said he was willing to allow the investigation to continue.

After Trump yanked Brennan's security clearance, Brennan said Trump's "claims of no collusion" are "hogwash".

The only question remaining is whether the collusion amounts to a "constituted criminally liable conspiracy, " Brennan wrote.

According to emails reported last week, Steele, a former British spy, kept in close contact with Ohr even after the Federal Bureau of Investigation cut ties with him as a source, with Steele continuing to send along information.

All materials, including briefing reports and memos, audio/video presentations, PowerPoint presentations and any other records, used by CIA Director Brennan and/or other CIA officials to brief Senator Reid and/or members of his staff on alleged "collusion" between the Trump presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump admitted his decision on Brennan's clearance was linked to the ongoing federal probe into possible collusion between his campaign and Russian Federation to influence the 2016 election.

"Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation", he continued. If he was doing an honest report, he would write it on the other side. They said it "has nothing to do with who should and should not hold security clearances - and everything to do with an attempt to stifle free speech". He added, "So I think it's something that had to be done".

"I call it the rigged witch hunt, [it] is a sham", Trump was quoted as saying in the interview.

"I don't think it advances the criminal obstruction case, but I think it's factually relevant, " said Mark Zaid, a national security attorney.

Trump has ordered a review for nine others who have security clearances.
