
England star Danny Cipriani has been arrested in Jersey.
A statement from Gloucester Rugby said: "Gloucester Rugby are aware of an incident involving Danny Cipriani in the early hours of Wednesday morning following an incident at a St Helier nightclub".
The incident is believed to have occurred at a venue connected to The Royal Yacht hotel in Mulcaster Street in the island's capital.
After appearing in court on Thursday he was fined £1,500 for resisting arrest and £500 for assault.
The 30-year-old fly-half was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday.

Cipriani, who moved to Gloucester from fellow Premiership club Wasps in the summer, has played 16 times for England since his global debut in 2008.
Cipriani recently returned to global rugby, making his first Test start for a decade during the tour of South Africa in June.
Eddie Jones recently recalled the flyhalf to the England squad and played him during the summer South Africa test after a ten-year absence, although he had been warned about his conduct after numerous off-field incidents earlier in his career.
Glouster Rugby had been carrying out pre-season training with the Jersey Reds on the island.
