Rain Suspends PGA Championship during Second Round

PGA Championship Hit with Bitcoin Ransom Attack

Eldrick Woods wasn't the only "Tiger" turning heads Saturday during the third round of the PGA Championship at Bellerive.

Tiger Woods had three birdies through seven holes as he tried to get in range. He settled for his second consecutive 4-under-par 66 to finish at 202, 8 under par.

He is four strokes behind leader Brooks Koepka and in a tie for sixth.

One shot back of Scott sharing third are superstars Jon Rahm (66) and Rickie Fowler (69), as well as overnight leader Gary Woodland (71).

"It was fine. I'm 3-under par, so I felt I was headed in the right direction, " Woods said.

Woods failed to convert on both, despite having given himself excellent chances.

The 14-time major victor was three under for his round to that point and carried on where he left off on Saturday morning, pitching to five feet and holing the putt to improve to four under par. "I shouldn't have been that aggressive with that first putt and it cost me". "St. Louis has never seen Tiger up close, so it's pretty insane and it makes it a lot more fun". "And I blew it by about four feet and then pulled the next one". He said there have been no physical issues since the week began with him taking ice baths to combat swelling.

Woods, who said Saturday's round-and-a-half of golf left him mentally exhausted, will have to make every birdie he missed thus far. "It was a long day".

On Saturday morning, Koepka went to a local gym with frequent workout partner Johnson. Woods resumed on the eighth hole, where he had a wedge shot from 70 yards that he knocked close for a birdie.

Paul Pogba's season-opening penalty... with stuttering run-up
Pogba played a key part in France's successful World Cup campaign and was therefore allowed to miss most of United's pre-season. With seven minutes remaining, he flicked the ball past a defender before sending a low left-footed strike into the net.

He had makeable (some more so than others) birdie putts at 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18 ... and missed every one. And now we're going out on a Saturday afternoon in the mix at the PGA, it's great. "Being in Tiger's group is always exciting".

"I feel safe because I feel safe where my game is", Woodland said. "I feel like yesterday I played really well too and sometimes you just don't really score very well. but today I drove it beautifully. It was like turning back the hands of the clock".

But Woods could turn it only so far. I said to my caddie a couple of holes before it was the most fun I'd ever had and then that happened.

Woods, who has never won a major title when not leading after 54 holes, owns 79 career PGA titles, three shy of Sam Snead's all-time record.

And the round was solid, perhaps something to build on. Woods had his mojo back early in the round and was sitting pretty at three-under par before the delay.

He's played 66 rounds of the championship and has played 30 of those rounds under par, a dozen at level par and two dozen over par. "I think we'll see some putts go in".

Ten years removed from his 14th and most recent major title, he displayed shades of his pre-back surgery greatness with a near-flawless front nine on the rain-soaked layout.

Birdies were not only everywhere, but necessary to stay in contention, and Spieth knew it, particularly at 17 - a par 5 where eagle is in play and birdie is a must.
