Fox News' Kimberly Guilfoyle Leaving Network for Campaign Trail

Additional sources have corroborated that Guilfoyle's departure from the network signals that she will soon join her beau on Trump's campaign trail.

A source close to Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle denies that she did not leave voluntarily.

Though a departure from Fox is abrupt and unexpected, the move into pro-Trump politics isn't too surprising: previous year, Trump was reported to have considered Guilfoyle to replace Sean Spicer as White House press secretary, a job she publicly lobbied for.

Vanity Fair was first to report the news early Friday and said Guilfoyle's exit was not exactly amicable.

As IJR previously noted, Trump Jr. confirmed his relationship with Guilfoyle during an event in Montana.

Guilfoyle, 49, is reportedly a favorite of President Trump's.

"Kim is one of the most influential voices in the #MAGA movement and knows how to light up a crowd", the spokesman, Andrew Surabian, tweeted. She was considered for White House press secretary a year ago after Sean Spicer departed the administration.

Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa Haydon are recently divorced.

Guilfoyle's ties to the White House have become more personal lately.

Guilfoyle was once married to the former mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, who is now running for the governor's office in California.

The conservative group supports the Trump administration's agenda in Congress and is working to protect vulnerable Republicans in the upcoming midterms.
