WHERE ARE THEY Now? The 1998 World Cup Winning France Team

Pogba urges France to avenge Euros defeat

Antoine Griezmann has issued a brilliant response to Thibaut Courtois' salty comments after the Belgium goalkeeper criticised France's tactics in their World Cup semi-final victory on Tuesday.

"It's just an anti-football team", Courtois was quoted as saying after the game. Their striker plays 30 metres from his own goal.

And Hazard added: "I prefer to lose with this Belgium than win with that France".

Defender Samuel Umtiti scored the game's only goal, despite Belgium having the lion's share of possession. "France heads a corner and does nothing more than defend", Courtois said.

He said, "Does Thibaut Courtois think that at Chelsea, he plays Barcelona football?"

But Griezmann, who will spearhead the attack alongside Olivier Giroud in Moscow on Sunday, reminded Courtois that Chelsea, under their now former manager, Antonio Conte, were hardly famed for free-flowing attacking football.

On Sunday, when France goes for worldwide soccer glory against Croatia in the World Cup final, they will do so almost 20 years to the day from when the country first won a World Cup.
