Amy Hennig leaves EA, Star Wars game left ‘on the shelf’

Star Wars: Amy Hennig left EA after

EA executive vice president Patrick Söderlund revealed in October that they shut down Visceral Games and that the untitled "Star Wars" project was being changed "to be a broader experience".

When Hennig was asked if she was still acting as a creative director for the Star Wars project, her response was clear-cut: "I'm not, I have not worked at EA since January, technically, legally".

This wasn't the end for Hennig though as she also revealed that she's now working independently and is starting her own little studio. The former creative director of Naughty Dog had become the face of Visceral Games and the now-canceled Star Wars project, but some speculated that she might remain an EA employee after the closure of the studio. Now, almost a year later Hennig has re-emerged, revealing that she no longer works for EA and is, in fact, about to launch her own independent studio.

Are you still interested in "Ragtag", or is Hennig's departure from EA worrying for the game's development? I'm hoping to bring some people on board'.

As for the original single-player Star Wars game she helmed-codenamed "Ragtag", which would have let players constantly switch perspectives between multiple Han Solo-like "scoundrels and criminals"-Hennig offered very little hope for it to ever surface". Hennig actually left EA back in January but there was never a right moment for her to announce the news to the public.

The remaining 10 percent was being treated with chemotherapy, but it was next to the brain stem, considered too unsafe to touch. Matt Cappotelli began wrestling in the early 2000s after playing football at Western Michigan University.

Hopefully now Hennig is far, far away from the high pressures of the publishing giant, she can continue to create great new video game franchises.

Now we know she is no longer with EA.

The good news is that she is now about to launch an independent studio, saying 'I'm working independently and staying independent. "It's really not. Y'know, once you go more open world it's such a different game to the one we were making".

"The Vancouver studio is working on something pretty different", Hennig says, describing Visceral's project as being "on the shelf". "We wish Amy all the best with what comes next, and we will all be watching with excitement", the company said in a statement to The Verge.
