Florida man charged with murder in XXXTentacion’s killing police say 21 JUN 18 09:52 ET

The arrest came two days after XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed in his vehicle outside of a motorsports store in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Dedrick Williams, 22, was taken into custody Wednesday night in Pompano Beach. TMZ is reporting that the man is being held without bail for first-degree murder.

Onfroy was leaving the dealership shortly before 16:00 local time on Monday when two men approached him, officials say.

The 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was ambushed by two suspects in an apparent robbery as he left an upscale motor sports dealership Monday afternoon in Deerfield, Fla. The police department's website claimed they had charged Williams with first-degree murder, a probation violation, and operating without a valid driver's license.

Broward County investigators are zeroing in on a picture posted on Instagram by another Florida rapper, Soldier Kidd, in which he is shown with a gun on his waistband next to a plate of fried shrimp and french fries in his lap.

More details of the arrest will be released later, she said. The police charged him with aggravated battery, domestic battery, strangulation, and false imprisonment. In 2016, he was arrested on charges including home invasion for a 2015 incident, and less than a month later was jailed on charges that he attacked his girlfriend, who was pregnant at the time. "They arrested him. That means they got him", she can be heard saying in a Snapchat video. Later, he faced more charges including witness tampering.
