Brazil hold their breath as superstar Neymar limps out of training

Brazilian team having a chat with their coach Tite during training

Neymar stopped training in Sochi after a few minutes, leaving his team mates to continue preparations for their second World Cup game against Costa Rica in St Petersburg on Friday.

Citing the Brazil press office, Neymar wasn't scheduled to fully participate in training after being fouled 10 times in the 1-1 draw against Switzerland over the weekend.

The Brazilian football confederation says the injury is not serious, adding Neymar left as a precaution and would be back in training tomorrow.

He's the team's best player, and if Brazil plans to do anything in this tournament, Neymar is going to have to play a key role.

Trump threatens China with new $200 billion tariffs, China vows to retaliate
US stock markets fell sharply Tuesday morning, with investors increasingly nervous about the impact of the escalating fight. Pompeo raised the trade issue directly with China last week, when he met in Beijing with President Xi Jinping and others.

The 26-year-old could be seen grimacing as he held his right ankle after feeling pain as he took part in a light session for those who had started that game.

On Instagram on Monday, Neymar posted a picture of his foot while receiving treatment alongside the message "work hard".

"Neymar is going to be marvellous in Russian Federation and win the trophy for us", Carlos said.

A fractured foot kept Neymar out of the end of PSG's season but he made a goalscoring return to action with a stunning solo strike against Croatia in a friendly at Anfield, and was also on target in a 3-0 warm-up victory against Austria. After making his World Cup bow this summer with a controversial spaghetti haircut, which drove social media mad, he's shook things up once more. "Lots of fans think that because we are Brazil we are going to win easily and score lots of goals. We need to be 110 percent to win our matches".
