Meghan's dad sorry to have missed wedding

Samantha and Meghan Markle

It has been reported that Harry and Meghan are planning a visit to see Thomas Markle in his hometown in Mexico.

Markle said that he opted to take part in the interview because he wanted people to know he is a "normal guy" and because he wants to have a good relationship with Meghan and Harry.

The Daily Mail revealed that the photos - which included reading articles about Meghan in an Internet Cafe and getting fitted for a suit - were staged, just one week before the royal wedding.

Thomas Markle told Good Morning Britain that he regrets that he didn't walk his daughter down the aisle.

Asked whether a "stork" had visited the palace yet, Mr Markle said Meghan has "wanted children for a long time".

Thomas Markle said he had a heart attack days before the wedding and cried when he watched it on TV.

It comes as Thomas revealed how he cried while watching Meghan get married on TV, after a heart attack prevented him from travelling to the United Kingdom for the big day.

Morgan also told ET that Markle revealed he has not yet had the chance to speak with Prince Charles, though he has chatted with Prince Harry. "Meghan cried ... and they both said "take care of yourself, we're really anxious about you".

US, South Korea agree to suspend joint military exercise
Ending the joint exercises, Moon said, puts pressure on North Korea to be reasonable as the two sides discuss the process ahead. It was later combined with South Korea's Ulchi exercise, which was launched in the wake of a North Korean infiltration in 1968.

Thomas' comments came in the wake of his daughter's wedding, which the president did not receive an invitation to attend.

"It was incredible watching her. And I said, 'That's really nice.' And then the next call was like, 'He's British.' And I said, 'That's really nice.' And eventually the third time round was, 'He's a prince, '" Markle said.

"All Harry ... actually said, because Trump was new, he said, 'Give him a chance.' I think Harry's probably changed his mind by now. They take all kinds of pictures of me making me look negative", Markle said, choking up. I sort of disagreed with that but I still like Harry. "He looked very handsome. We've talked a few times about Brexit and Donald Trump".

"I thought this would be a nice way of improving my look, but obviously that all went to hell".

He added that Prince Harry sounded "open to the experiment" of Brexit. I was jealous, I wish I'd been there, I wish it'd been me, but thank God he was there.

Meghan, 36, said: "Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding".

"At that point she said, 'It's Harry.' And I said, 'Oh Harry, okay.' And she said, 'Of course, we'll have to call him H so no-one knows we're talking about Harry".
