It's a girl! Zara Tindall welcomes second baby

The baby's name will be confirmed in due course, the palace said, adding that the queen, her husband Prince Philip and Zara's mother Princess Anne, the monarch's only daughter, were delighted with the news. This new baby will be the Queen's seventh great grandchild.

Zara and former rugby player Mike are already parents to daughter Mia, four.

Mrs Tindall, who is the daughter of the Queen's only daughter, the Princess Royal, married Mr Tindall in 2011.

The baby weighs 9lbs 3oz and was born on Monday in Stroud Maternity Unit. She is also an accomplished equestrian and won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics.

The little one weighed in at nine pounds and three ounces and joins 4-year-old big sister Mia Grace Tindall.

The royal couple met in 2003 and announced their engagement in 2010, before getting married in 2011.

"It's nice to go out with the dogs and explore the woods and fields that surround our house - I love the quiet and isolation of where we live", she said.
