Teenager Amelia Kerr blasts highest score in women's ODI history

Amelia Kerr

Kerr is now the second women and seventh overall cricketer to go past the 200-run mark in one-day worldwide cricket. The 17-year-old scored unbeaten 232 to break Belinda Clark's 21-year-old record of 229.

The 17-year-old Amelia, opening the New Zealand innings, hit a whopping 31 fours and two sixes in her 145-ball unbeaten knock that took her side to 440 for 3 after electing to bat first in the third ODI.

DUBLIN: New Zealand´s Amelia Kerr hit a world record 232 not out in the third one-day worldwide against Ireland on Wednesday and then took five wickets to complete a remarkable day for the 17-year-old.

New Zealand's Amelia Kerr created history on Wednesday when broke a record that was set even before she was born, scoring a double hundred against Ireland at Dublin.

Kerr's 232 is the third-best in all ODI cricket, after Rohit Sharma's 264 for India against Sri Lanka in 2014 and fellow New Zealander Martin Guptill's 237no against Windies during the 2015 World Cup.

My mixed sequence of advice is that is better for the vote to be conducted at the conclusion of questions to the prime minister... But MSPs at the Scottish Parliament refused to give their blessing for May's Bill - something Blackford says has been ignored.

Kerr and Leigh Kasperek, who scored 113, combined for the second largest partnership of all time in women´s cricket of 295 runs for the second wicket. But that too was brought to a close by the midway stage, when Kerr cleaned her up to pick the first of her five wickets.

Ireland stood little chance in the chase, losing wickets at regular intervals and succumbing after 44 overs.

The White Ferns posted a world record 490-4 in a 346-run win the first ODI last Friday (Saturday NZT), then 418 in a 306-run victory in the second ODI on Sunday (Monday NZT).

Thanks to Kerr's fantastic innings New Zealand posted a mammoth total of 440/3 against Ireland.
