Star Wars SHOCK: George Lucas ‘Fans would have HATED my sequel trilogy’

LUCASFILMStar Wars SHOCK George Lucas ‘Fans would have HATED my sequel trilogy

But an eagle-eyed Twitter user, Livio Ramdondelli, has spotted real clues in the companion book for the AMC TV show James Cameron's Story Of Science Fiction.

I guess we will never know exactly how good or bad Lucas' last three films would've been. Although the Film Stage previously published one of Lucas' quotes now being spread online on May 23, it had gone relatively unnoticed until now. When Disney acquired Lucasfilm with the intention of making a lot more Star Wars movies, Lucas opted out of having creative control over the films and chose to rather instead just take the many billions and not do much. "There's this world of creatures that operate differently than we do".

Hamill tweeted Boyega: 'Be careful there son- the last time I let a fan put themself in my shoes, they just took off running & sold them on Ebay'. And the Whills are the one who actually control the universe. They feed off the Force.

In a series of tweets, the 26-year-old actor asked Star Wars fans that he doesn't care if they bought a ticket to see the movie or not, stop harassing his castmates.

"If I'd held onto the company I could've done it [seen the story through to its end], and then it would have been done".

Hardcore Star Wars fans may be familiar with the director's concept of the Whills, immortal beings that were kind of an early version of the Force itself.

So not only was Luke supposed to die at very end of the Skywalker saga, but he was going to train Leia to be a Jedi.

For those who don't know, the idea of the Whills is something George Lucas had always meant to be a larger part of Star Wars. And the conduit is the midi-chlorians.

The midi-chlorians comment is mentioned as part of a larger conversation about AI and religion within the context of Star Wars. In James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction (which is viewable on Google Books), Lucas compared the midi-chlorians to fuel that helped run a auto (aka humans and other creatures in the galaxy), which Cameron argued was Lucas trying to insert some science into a "creation myth".

Now, with The Classic Star Wars Gamer Bundle, you can celebrate the fandom even more for the low price of $6.60 ($US5). If you hated the midi-chlorians, you probably wouldn't have been a fan of this new trilogy, had Lucasfilm not been bought out by Disney.
