Garmin Vivoactive 3 gets onboard storage for music

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music GPS Smartwatch With Integrated Music Launched

With onboard storage you can load up with music, it could very well become that device, too. "Up to" 500 songs can be stored on the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music, and alas, there's no word on upcoming compatibility with Spotify or Apple Music.

The Vivoactive 3 features the same fitness, wellness and connectivity features as the original Vivoactive 3 introduced last summer. That means the Global Positioning System smartwatch can be used to monitor workouts, display phone notifications, carry out contactless payments and more.

Namely, up to 7 days in "smartwatch mode", 13 hours with the built-in Global Positioning System chip turned on, and around 5 hours in "GPS mode" with music.

Italian court convicts man over kidnap of model
Herba said he was in love with her and they came up with this abduction scheme together to help with her financial difficulties. The 30-year-old threatened to auction her on the internet while trying to extort £230,000 from her agent Phil Green.

"Music can be a huge motivating component of any workout or activity, and we're excited to give our customers the ability to ditch their phones and listen to their favorite songs right from their wrist", said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. Oh, and even though wrist payments are not particularly popular yet, you also get full Garmin Pay functionality. Then you need to pair some sweat-proof headphones and head out.

Garmin has just announced the Vivoactive 3 Music, a wearable which is already available to order and essentially takes everything you'll find in the Garmin Vivoactive 3 and adds music to the mix. It comes paired with a black silicone 20mm quick release band and is compatible with various accessory bands that'll set you back $29.99 each.

Garmin is shipping the Vivoactive 3 Music now for $300. It's a great and sensible move for Garmin, as most people who workout with music would love to leave their smartphone at home; however, it should be noted that at launch the Vivoactive 3 Music will only work with iHeartRadio at launch. The Vivoactive 3 Music is launching today for $299.99 and can be found at Garmin's website.
