E3 2018: Black Ops 3 Free on PlayStation Plus Tonight

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Season Pass Confirmed

As long as you have an active subscription, you can head over to the PlayStation Store right now (through July 11th) and download the game for free. Whether you're a veteran of the series or a newcomer, there's more than enough content to warrant checking out Black Ops 3. Announced today was the Black Ops pass, which Activision says "represents a new approach to post-launch content".

The Black Ops Pass is included in all three of these editions.

A new FAQ on the Activision Support website has revealed that the DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII will not be on sale in separate packs as it has been in the past, the only way to get the DLC is to purchase the Season Pass. What this means is Activision will release content faster to "keep things fresh" and launch new maps and content faster than before. To make matters worse, the Season Pass must also be purchased up front via Black Ops 4's Deluxe or Pro Editions.

Trump, Pompeo positive ahead of summit
Kim had arrived hours earlier in a plane loaned by China, which for decades has been North Korea's only major ally. Part of the interest in Tuesday's summit is simply because Kim has had limited appearances on the world stage.

This comes from a recent retail listing, that claims the beta will be hosted on PS4, Xbox One and PC during that month.

That puts a strain on players to buy higher editions of the game in order to get the content they want, especially if all they want is the standard edition along with the Black Ops pass. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 out later this year, it's a smart way for Sony and Activision to rope prospective consumers into the Black Ops universe.

The changes made to the Black Ops Pass won't impact those who wanted the DLC to begin with, but it sets up an interesting dilemma for those on the fence.
