The 24-year-old is allegedly to have been lured on a Tinder date by Aubrey Trail, 51, and Bailey Boswell, 23.

Trail and Boswell were both ordered Tuesday to be held without bail at Saline County jail.

Trail leaned back in his chair and asked for a preliminary hearing "as early as possible". Police initially called her disappearance "concerning". They will return to court June 19 to schedule preliminary hearings.

Authorities say dismembered remains were found in several garbage bags, east of Clay Center.

She was then reported missing the next day sparking a major police search. She had told family members that she was planning on meeting someone she had "met online" and had reportedly spent the night with Boswell, who she had met on Tinder. About 140 messages were sent between the two women from November 11 to November 15.

Loofe had last been heard from on November 15 when she posted a photo of herself to her Snapchat story and captioned it "ready for my date". Prosecutors also allege that security camera video from a Home Depot Store in Lincoln on November 15, showed Trail and Boswell allegedly purchasing tools and supplies prosecutors believe were used in the dismemberment and disposal of Loofe's body.

The 24-year-old clerk at the home improvement store in Lincoln, Neb., had been posting about the date on Snapchat and telling her friends about it the evening of November 15, 2017. Authorities claimed that Boswell helped Trail clean the apartment with bleach following the murder.

Loofe's remains were found in December.

Loofe, a native of Neligh, Nebraska, died of strangulation, according to an autopsy.

Trail told the Omaha World-Herald in interviews that he didn't mean to kill Loofe.

"It wasn't supposed to go to the extreme it went, of course not", Trail told the World-Herald.

During Trail and Boswell's first court appearance, however, more information regarding Loofe's murder was given, including that she had been strangled with an extension cord and her body had been dismembered and found in several places.

Loofe's parents, George and Susie Loofe, declined to comment Monday evening through a reporter with their hometown paper. They wrote that their daughter felt lonely despite seemingly having many friends, and struggled with anxiety and depression.

It was the basement where Boswell lived with her boyfriend, Aubrey Trail, according to a criminal complaint.

They left the state, apparently traveling to a casino in Council Bluffs before heading to Branson, Missouri, where they were arrested. However, he said Boswell was on drugs at the time and wasn't in the room when Loofe died.

The pair were suspected in a trail of thefts involving antiques, coins and bad checks from Pennsylvania to Utah.
