Deputies say missing baby still hasn't been found

Searching for missing 14-month-old continues boyfriend is in the country illegally

A New York State helicopter has joined the search for 14-month-old Owen Hidalgo-Calderon in the fields of a Wayne County apple orchard Saturday. Vermont officials say the alerts often carry over to other regions and that it just depends on where the phone is located.

Update (12:34 p.m.) Authorities say that Owen was possibly last seen with Ebavardo Gutierrez Reyes on or about May 16.

He has since admitted to burying his girlfriend's body, but says he didn't kill her.

Hidalgo-Calderon had been in the US since November 2016, according to the Workers' Center.

His mother's body was found in a plastic bag hidden in the woods.

An Amber Alert was issued for Owen Hildago-Calderon on May 25, 2018.

Paul Out, Iguodala Questionable for Game 6
Houston will need a more efficient performance from Harden to win Game 7, and ideally another big night from its role players. The Warriors also have an injury of not with small forward Andre Iguodala missing the last two games with a knee ailment.

Reyes, caught on a hunter's trail camera going in and out of the woods with a shovel, was arrested Wednesday night on charges of tampering with physical evidence. The 18-year-old, who worked on the farm, had been missing for a week.

WGRZ reports that Owen Hidalgo-Caldron is missing from upstate NY, and his mother was found dead on Thursday under suspicious circumstances. He did not elaborate on Owen's whereabouts, deputies said.

"My daughter and my grandson were my life, she was my first born and I feel like a piece of my heart is gone", said Estela Calderon.

An advocacy organization, Workers' Center of Central New York says it sees Hildago-Calderon's death as being "linked to the precarious, isolated and vulnerable living conditions of immigrant women working in rural areas".

Hidalgo-Calderon was in the middle of being deported at the time of her death, and her family was applying for asylum. Her next court appearance was scheduled for June 5.
