Pregnant Broadway actress loses baby after NYC auto crash killed her daughter

Actress Ruthie Ann Miles lost her unborn baby

Broadway actress Ruthie Ann Miles has lost her unborn baby two months after her daughter was killed in a auto accident.

Tragic: Ruthie Ann Miles's unborn baby died from injuries she and the child sustained when motorist Dorothy Bruns hit the pregnant mother - and fatally crashed into two children, including Miles's 4-year-old - on a Park Slope street in March.

Miles, who was 30 weeks pregnant, and a friend survived the crash on March fifth.

"Ruthie and her husband Jonathan lost their baby", said Rubinowitz in a statement.

At around 12:40pm, the 44-year-old female driver in question ran over Abigail and dragged Lauren's one-year-old son Josh over 100 feet down the road, while he was still in his pushchair.

Her license was suspended just two days before the crash and she reportedly got eight tickets from red-light and speed cameras beforehand.

"The pain suffered by Ruthie and Jonathan is almost impossible to fathom", Rubinowitz said.

The death toll now has risen to three from the crash that initially claimed the lives of Miles' daughter, Abigail Blumenstein, 4, and another child, Joshua Lew, 1. Both were seriously injured when they were struck by another vehicle. Bruns was indicted earlier this month.

"This should never happen".

Ruthie Ann Miles accepts the award for best performance by an actress in a featured role in a musical for "The King & I" at the 69th annual Tony Awards in NY.

Miles was in her 39th week of pregnancy, the Journal reported.

The Staten Island resident told emergency responders after the crash that she had suffered a seizure, which caused her to accelerate through the red light.
