Kent State grad takes aim at anti-gun policies

Student celebrates graduation by taking huge AR-10 rifle to university

In an interview with the Akron Beacon Journal on April 25, 2018, Bennett said, "Kent State is one of the few schools in OH that decided that students wouldn't be permitted to open carry on campus while guests can".

She captioned the image, liked by 116,000 people and prompting more than 33,800 comments, "I don't take normal college graduation photos..."

She added that she should have been able to carry as a student, especially after the 1930 Kent State shooting when four students were killed by Ohio National Guardsmen. On Kent State's campus, students, staff and contractors are not allowed to carry a gun.

A recent college graduate from Kent State University in OH is gaining attention online for graduation photos she posted on Twitter. "The university has a full-time, certified police force of more than 30 sworn officers who protect the campus".

The university has a rule against students, faculty, and staff carrying "deadly weapons".

Zia Orphanage Trust graft case: Appellate Division upholds Khaleda's bail
ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan told reporters that the Appellate Division has ordered the court to settle the appeal by July 31. Zias imprisonment had shook the countrys political scenario ahead of the general elections in December this year.

Bennett, in a tweet posted Sunday, wrote that "now that I graduated from Kent State, I can finally arm myself on campus". She was also voicing a wide-held belief that the Second Amendment was intended as means for Americans to defend themselves against the government. "So on the time of this photograph, she and different graduates could be permitted to open keep on our campus". However Kent State College spokesman Eric Mansfield advised Fox Information that as a result of Bennett is not a scholar, she violated no insurance policies.

Many were supportive of Bennett's message and thanked her for defending Second Amendment rights.

Bennett, who tweeted she has received death threats because of her photos, called those threats the "biggest advocates for gun rights". Bennett says Twitter suspended that person's account.

But campus police can't always intervene fast enough, Bennett said, arguing that "pulling out a gun is easier than dialing 911". "You say you don't want to take away legally owned guns, but had NO IDEA that the rifle pictured is legally owned", she replied to other commenters. She told ABC News that she wanted the photo to "show who I am as a person". Attention aside, Bennett has no future plans for politics.
