Seattle Mariners' Robinson Cano suspended 80 games for PEDs

Robinson Cano suspended 80 games for PED use, per reports

The news was initially reported by multiple reporters out of the Dominican Republic, where Robinson Cano was from.

Cano tested positive for the diuretic Furosemide, which violates the MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. This suspension comes days after Cano suffered a fractured right hand in a game against the Detroit Tigers.

Gomez cited "off the record sources and non-official reports" in breaking the news, which various other media outlets, including Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, have since confirmed via their own sources.

Canó's 80-game suspension is effective immediately.
