Nokia X6 specifications and pricing surface, confirms Snapdragon 636 SoC

Nokia X

As mentioned, the Nokia X6 was also spotted on Geekbench, and the listing reveals that the smartphone packs an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, 6GB of RAM, and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Nokia is set to unveil its new X-series range at an event on May 16 in Beijing.

We're talking about a Nokia X6 variant packing 4GB RAM and internally accommodating 64 gigs of data, fetching the rough equivalent of $235.

It was reported by NokiaPowerUser earlier that the Nokia X6 with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 636 processor may be much higher priced at Yuan 1799 in China. Ahead of the smartphone's official unveiling tomorrow, the upcoming Nokia X6 has been listed online by Chinese retailer Suning, revealing its price as well as key specifications.

The smartphone will come with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded with an external MicroSD card. The smartphone comes with all the connectivity options - 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, 3.5mm audio jack, Global Positioning System and GLONASS. The pricing of the handset was first rumoured to start at CNY 1,600 (roughly Rs. 16,900). The smartphone will come in three colour variants of Blue, Black and Silver White.

The smartphone may launch in India as Redmi Y2, the successor to previously-launched selfie smartphone Redmi Y1.

If that wasn't enough to shake up its competition, the Nokia X6 will also employ a dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera with electronic image stabilization.

The Redmi Note 5 Replica?

The smartphone will also feature a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

It already appeared twice yesterday - with its price tag on Suning and with its chipset and RAM on Geekbench. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package.
