Tina Fey Tears Up Remembering Gilda Radner at Tribeca Opening Night

Robert De Niro explains why he wants to 'jail' Trump, responds to his 'SNL' skit

Over 96 feature films will premiere at the festival while Schindler's List, Scarface and In the Soup will celebrate anniversaries. At a ickoff luncheon for the festival Wednesday, he referred to Trump as "our Lowlife-in-Chief" and said he "wouldn't recognize the truth if it came inside a bucket of his beloved Colonel Sanders Fried Chicken". "All thinking people do know the truth". I won't spoil such a short clip by laboriously writing out its contents, but just know the general concept is that De Niro has somehow never been introduced to dogs before. "It was jerkoff-in-chief, now it's lowlife-in-chief". "The press has done an admiral job this past year".

At a lunch held this afternoon in celebration of the start of the Tribeca Film Festival, which he co-founded in 2002, De Niro offered some pointed opening remarks to a crowd made up mostly of journalists and other members of the press about Trump.

Describing De Niro as "pointed in [his] criticism" of Trump, "Today" correspondent Craig Melvin inquired whether the country is facing a time that it's "imperative for everyone to be politically active".

Sri Reddy Worked in Sakshi for 2.5 Years
According to a report in Times of India, Sri Reddy has warned Pawan Kalyan of legal action if he doesn't rein in his fans. Ram somehow always had an ax to grind with Pawan though Pawan had never said anything against Ram in the media at least.

De Niro has been unusually politically active with regards to his dissent of the Trump administration, a stance he defended on "Today". In a video released before the 2016 presidential election, De Niro called Trump a "pig" and a "bullshit artist", saying he'd like to "punch" the then-White House hopeful "in the face". "That story took place almost 50 years ago, but there are many parallels today, obviously". Also, note that the clip ends with De Niro calling Fallon a "fucking idiot".

Before Trump was elected president, De Niro famously said in October 2016 wanted to punch the NY business tycoon in the face. Monday night, De Niro joined Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show to discuss this year's Tribeca lineup and his role in the upcoming Martin Scorsese film The Irishman.
